SugaRay's Mural Process, Preparation and Pricing

1.
Initial ContactUsually this will be via a phone
conversation or an e-mail. You will
probably have some ideas about the
theme of your mural, and you can
explain where you would like your mural
to be.

2.  First Meeting and ConsultationAt your convenience, we will schedule a first
meeting where we will discuss the process
of painting a mural.
If you need my help with choosing a theme,
I will be glad to bring my portfolio and
reference materials for you to see.
3.  Second AppointmentFor the second appointment I will
produce
two sketches per our previous
discussions
free of charge.  An estimate
can also be prepared at the same time.

If we reach an agreement, I will survey
the room where you would like the mural
to be and make any recommendations
for wall preparations, if needed.

At this point, we can set up a date for the
work to begin.

A deposit of 25% of the total proposed
cost is required to be paid at the second
meeting. A contract will be signed prior
to beginning of work.

The remaining 75% is payable upon
completion.
4.  PaintingPrior to painting, I will use drop cloths and
painting tape to protect your floors and
furniture.

I will create a “free hand” drawing of the
design on the wall and continue with my
paints.  You can watch  your mural “being
born”!

Depending on the size and intricacy of your
mural, it can take me from 1 to 3 days to
complete.

Your mural will be protected with a varnish
coat upon completion protecting it from
fading and scratches.

I use high quality pants (acrylics) and other
materials in creating my work. There is a
short paint drying period and there is no
odor from paints that can be harmful to
children and adults.
PRICINGPricing for murals varies. There are  $20.00 and $25.00 per square foot.
The price of you mural will be determined by intricacy of the design.

Here is a calculation to help you to arrive at an estimate for your design:
Multiply the length and height of the wall to be painted, which will give you square footage. Then multiply the
square footage times the coast per square foot.
Please keep in mind that is a preliminary estimate of your mural.  For large murals the price can be negotiated.
I can provide more images of my murals per your request.
