The Airbrush graduation banners are very exclusive, because each banner is hand painted by the Columbus artist Raymonn SugarRay Daniels.
Ray first introduced the Airbrush graduation banners to Columbus Ohio in 2005, when his nephew, Aaron Nelson a Mifflin High School Alumni, said "uncle Rayy if you painted my face on a banner all the high School seniors will like it." Sugaray took this advice, and took off, never looking back.
Sugar Ray designed the banner of several different components. The material is made of a very sturdy, thick, non wrinkle material. He then has it seemed and finished on all the edges by master tailor Couilaby in Extravaganza Mall, which measures an outstanding 5' by 7 foot wide piece. The artist takes the material and paints the face of The graduating student, on one half of the banner. On the other side he paints the credentials of The student, with their name, high School name and graduation year. At THE bottom he encourages the senior and their family to list their "College Bound" school, which Raymonn feels excites and challenges the student to attend and finish college. The banner is traditionally installed in The yard of The families home, to display to the neighbours of The success coming out of the proud neighborhood.
Carefully constructed And passionately painted, these banners takes anywhere from 2 weeks to 1 month to produce. This amount of dedication doesn't come cheap, each hand painted banner the artist is asking for $400 this year,$100 more than last year. The artist says the reason behind the price hike is "because my hands are able to paint only so many banners per graduation season. This is my way to regulate the supply and demand for this original artwork."
SugarRay is very concerned about the price pushing out seniors that don't have a lot of money to spend, But always wanted a banner. "There are seniors that seen my graduation banners in their neighborhoods since they was in elementary school, I have to bless them. They have been dreaming of my artwork since forever." This is where SugarRay introduces THE EARLY BIRD SPECIAL. At THE beginning of The winter season, as soon as the first snow drops, Rayy sends vouchers for $100, $150, And $200. SugarRay calls this his scholarships he gives to outstanding students, because they are preparing early, and they are expecting to graduate. Especially with The crisis of kids failing the OGT, a federally ran test that determines if you graduate or not regardless if you have perfect grades. SugarRay says "I want to help out anyway possible."
The way you can take advantage of this early bird sale is by sending SugarRay an email. This will start the ordering process. As far as who gets the limited amount of vouchers, SugarRay says its two factors "of course its a first come first serve basis, but also its the story of the students. Just like on college applications, you sion who you are thru the applying process, its the SAME here. I get To know the student or the students grandparents, And some students stand out from others, and win the big $200 voucher." Half off of an amazing hand painted $400 painting, is a great deal in anybody's book. Apply now by sending an email to:
